Hostels’ employees cricket tournament kicked off on Tuesday here at IIUI in which 8 teams from hostels are participating. 6 teams hail from new campus hostels and 2 teams are included from Kuwait hostels Faisal Masjid Campus.
The match of this inter hostel tournament was played between Hostel -1 and Hostel-4. Hostel 4 won the match.
The chief guest of the opening ceremony was Dr. Islam Ud Din, President Academic Staff Association. He appreciated the effort of Provost Office for their employees. He said that these kind of activities i.e sports and games are very important for staff and students. He added that physical activities are source of better mental and physical health.
Provost Men’s Hostels, Dr. Ibrar Anver thanked the chief guest and other faculty members, staff and students for joining this event. He said staff at the hostels leave no stone unturned that to provide homelike environment to students who are living in hostels. He vowed that the Provost Office will keep arranging such constructive events. He also announced that Provost office will arrange a tour for hostels employees in semester break. Dr. Ibrar Anver thanked Mr. Ali Rafey, Assistant Director Provost Office for his sincere effort at hostels.
He specially thanked Muhammad khalid Ch. Assistant Director sport at hostels for organizing such a wonderful activity in befitting manners.
Final match of the tournament will be played on 24th December, 2021.
