Message of the Director

My Selection as Full Time Director, QEC is an honor for me and I am determined to uphold the task of QEC.
The Quality improvement in higher education is highly responsible and delicate job and is primarily concerned with development of standardized system, policies and procedures that will enable, IIUI to produce economically productive students capable of sustainable career growth, contributing to the society Ummah and behaving in a socially responsible manner in line with modern Islamic culture. QEC at IIUI has been doing well in this respect and we will continue as such.
The objectives of QEC would be achieved only with cooperation and support of academic and nonacademic staff and program team of QEC in consultation and with collaboration under the HEC guidelines using appreciative Inquiry method and 4-D development model (Discovery, Dream, Design and Delivery).
QEC at IIUI will continue to strive for international rankings through development and improvement of the policies procedures and standard of education. Along with this we will also make efforts to establish external linkages for obtaining alternative sources of funding for IIUI and for the students of IIUI through activating/mobilizing the Career Counseling, Alumni and Placement offices of IIUI (Insha Allah).

Profile of Director (QEC)

Dr. Syed Tahir Hussain Rizvi is senior educationist with more than 20 years of teaching and professional experience. He has been serving IIUI for about 12 years in different capacities like QEC Team Member, Coordinator Higher Studies and Research (MS/PhD Program) at FMS and HOD of Department of Management.
He holds an MSc. Economics from IIUI and PhD in Human Resource Management from CUST Islamabad with an extended research supervision at State University New York (SUNY) Oswego NY USA under HEC’s IRSIP program.
His Area of research interest is Performance Appraisal System, Organizational Justice, Positive Organizational Behavior and Happiness, and along with other publications he has published a collaborative research with Dr. Barry Friedman -a Presidential Award winner for Highest Publications and senior researcher at SUNY Oswego NY USA.
Dr. Syed Tahir has the honor to work and teach in an international environment. He has been teaching, as a visiting faculty, Managerial Economics and OB in SUNY Oswego NY USA- an AACSB accredited Business School. He also has American Management Association (AMA) certification on “How to Train Your Employees.” He has international affiliations with AMA and AACTE (American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education).
