IIUI: STUDENTS’ ADVISOR OFFICE (FC) HOLDS WEBINAR ON “CV WRITING AND PRESENTATION SKILL”

A webinar on “Curriculum Vitae & Presentation Skill” organized by Students’ Advisor Office, Female Campus, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was held at Female Campus of the New Campus.

Ms. Arshyia Mukhtar was the keynote speaker of the webinar who addressed on what makes a good CV and how to market oneself professionally. She shared important components of Curriculum Vitae by sharing the CV of the pseudonym. She developed the CV of the Volunteers in the session. She discussed essential tips and tricks, which students have to keep in mind when they are attempting to write their first CV. She also told that one’s weaknesses must be included in the CV which later can be converted into your strengths.

Ms. Arshyia Mukhtar a Commonwealth Australia Research Program Fellow from Faculty of Management Sciences, FMS, IIUI delivered a comprehensive lecture on this occasion. Ms. Arshyia is a Cross-Cultural trainer regarding presentation skills, CV making, negotiation & self-grooming, and a diversity advisor in Australia. Presently she is serving in FMS, IIUI.

Earlier, Ms. Sumayya Chughtai, Students’ Advisor Female Campus, IIUI also expressed experiences and guided students what measures to be adopted while presenting and resume writing.

During the webinar speakers also discussed presentation skills and important steps to be inculcated for effective presentation. Important aspects about the appearance, style of the presenter and the structure of the presentation was also shared by the speakers on this occasion.

A large number of participants including senior faculty members, officials from Students’ Advisor Office and students from various departments of the university attended the webinar and participated during interactive sessions in the webinar.
