IIUI FORMULA TEAM GRABS 3RD POSITION IN PAKISTAN DICE AUTOMOTIVE EVENT

International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Formula Student Team got overall 3rd position in All Pakistan DICE Automotive Event hosted by NED Karachi in which more than 50 projects from different universities of Pakistan participated.

The team was supervised by Engr. Muhammad Tayyab (Lab Engineer, Department of Mechanical Engineering) which comprised of 4 students from F-15 Batch of BSME (Muhammad Haseeb Altaf, Usama Rehman, Afnan Ahmed, and Nouman Mehmood).

The team told that President IIUI Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yous

if Ahmed Al Draiweesh, Dean FET Prof. Engr. Dr. Muhammad Amir, and Chairman DME Engr. Dr. Saeed Badshah took keen interest in the making of Formula Student Car by arranging financial resources, technical and logistical support at every stage of the project..

The team designed the Formula Student Car as per the specifications of Formula Student UK rules that students are willing to compete in international competition going to be held in Silver Stone Circuit, UK in August 2018. The team fabricated the formula student car using available lab facilities in Department of Mechanical Engineering and material purchased from local market. The overall cost of the project was PKR 400,000/-.
