Department of Education, International Islamic University Islamabad organized 3-days training workshop titled “Enhancing Research Competency for Social Sciences Faculty”. The activity was aimed to enhance faculty members’ and doctoral students’ research skills so that they can conduct research and publish their research in reputed journals.
Resource persons included Dr. Sajid Ali Yousaf Zai, NUML Islamabad, Dr. Kamal Ahmed Somroo, University of Wah and Dr. Nasrullah Khan, AIOU Islamabad who conducted series of interactive sessions and provided an extraordinary learning opportunity for faculty and research scholars.
The US-qualified resource persons shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants regarding Research and Statistics, Research Methods in Social Sciences, Descriptive and Inferential Statistics, Test of Significance in Quantitative Research, Independent t test / Dependent t test / ANOVA, Regression Analysis (theory + practice) with interpretation, Multi factor ANOVA, APA Style Formatting, Practical example of MANOVA with interpretation, Instrument Development and Validations, Research Ethics, and Qualitative and Mixed-Methods Research Design.
In the concluding session, Prof. Dr. Samina Malik Dean, FSS and Prof. Dr. N. B. Jumani Director, Directorate of Distance Education, IIUI acknowledged resource persons, faculty members and PhD scholars of Department of Education for their participation. They motivated participants for the implementation of acquired research skills through this training.
