Be an effective Leader: Need of 21st Century” was organized here at the Department of Sociology at female campus.
Ali Moeen Nawazish, a Youth Ambassador, Columnist and educationist was the guest speaker who highlighted the importance of strategy, goal and the importance of self directed leadership to meet the demands of the 21st century. The event was presided over by Vice President Prof. Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan. In his speech, he emphasized on leadership qualities including honesty, technical know-how and self accountability for an effective leadership. He urged the students to learn from Islamic concept of leadership and the examples of Prophet (P.B.U.H.) and the four caliphs.
Acting Chairperson of the Sociology Department, Dr. Rabia Gul in her concluding remarks highlighted sociological perspective of leadership to facilitate the administration in universities and also to bridge the gap between Sociology and other disciplines. Earlier, Dr. Mansoor Akbar Kundi also spoke on the topic.
The activity was an effort of students of MS II; it was attended by faculty members and students who hailed it and termed it as a useful initiative.
