The Department of Biological Sciences organized a one day seminar on ‘Scholarship Hunt’ at Female Campus of the university.
On the occasion, a fruitful talk on topic was delivered by Dr. Hussain Mutatab Wahedi from National University of Medical Sciences. He presented the most comprehensive list of grants, scholarships, loan programs and other information to assist the university students in their pursuit to study abroad. The seminar was attended by almost 20 faculty members and more than 100 students from different departments of IIUI actively participated as audience.
The chief guest Professor Dr. Muhammad Arshad Zia, Dean FBAS appreciated the importance of talk and motivated the participants to actively seek for scholarships. He appreciated the efforts of organizing committee members Dr. Sobia Tabassum, Dr. Naveeda Riaz, Dr. Nyla Jabeen, Dr. Bushra Uzair, Dr. Bushra Hafiz Kiani, Miss Sadaf Anwar and Miss Ayesha Aftab. He announced to establish one centre for scholarship hunt and carrier counselling in FBAS block. He further asked Dr. Sobia and her team to start working on this initiative:
The audience acknowledged the usefulness of the information provided by the speakers. The Seminar ended with the Session of “Success Stories”, which highlighted the achievement of IIUI students who were recipients of different foreign scholarships.
Earlier, organizer of the event, Dr. Sobia Tabassum welcomed all the participants and highlighted the purpose of seminar by providing a quick guide for hunting a scholarship using various informative scholarship search engines.
