IIUI, KYRGYZ ACADEMICIANS AGREE TO BOOST BILATERAL COOPERATION

International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and Kyrgyz academicians on Friday agreed to prepare a roadmap of collaboration and cooperation in the fields of Arabic language, Islamic studies, training of Aima and exchange of delegations.

An 8 member Kyrgyz delegation visited IIUI’s new campus where it met with IIUI faculty members including Vice President Academic Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily, Deans of the IIUI’s faculties and other relevant high ups.

Dr. Tahir Khalily briefed the delegation about the university profile, vision and activities saying that the university has been a torchbearer as narrative building institution to address the issues of Muslim world. He also mentioned IIUI’s expertise and efforts for promotion of Islam’s message of peace and training of professionals in the light of Islamic teachings.

“We are keen to benefit from IIUI’s expertise in the field of Arabic, training of Aima, Islamic Studies “said head of the Kyrgyz delegation Dr. Osmon Tonsgusakov. He furthered that collaboration in the field of Islam’s message of peace and diminishing the misconception regarding Islam was imperative and IIUI was the most relevant institution to be collaborated in this regards.

Dr. Asylbek Aidaraliev, Vice Rector Kyrgyz International University said that IIUI has impressed the delegation and process for MoUs with its faculties and academics will be expedited.

Later, Dr. Muhammad Zia Ul Haq, Director General Islamic Research Institute (IRI) elaborated varsity’s Paigham e Pakistan narrative for peace. The delegation was also apprised about the cooperation and assistance being delivered by International Institute of Islamic Economics in the field of banking in Kyrgyzstan.  The delegation visited Al-Farabi complex, IIUI library, IIUI faculties, constituent units at old campus and Faisal Masjid, where a luncheon reception was also arranged in the honour of delegation.
