Department of Biological Sciences, of Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences organized Science Expo -2021 on the topic of “Research Innovation and Ethics” at the in the gymnasium hall of Female Campus (FC) of the International Islamic University (IIU).
Dr. Shahid Baig, Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation ( PSF) inaugurated the Science Expo -2021. Dr. Shahid Baig hailed the efforts of the students and also appreciated the innovative research projects of the participating students.
It was organized by three batches of Students of Department of Biological Sciences under the supervision of Dr. Bushra Uzair Abbassi, Assistant Professor.
The objective of the expo was to raise awareness among students about ethical aspects of research and innovation by linking the historical event with current practices through organization of an exposition of model’s display and performance. Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afsar, Vice President (Academics) and Prof.
Dr. Muhammad Irfan Khan, Chairperson, Department of Biological Sciences and Dean, Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences visited the stalls organized by the 11 groups of students and expressed their appreciation.
Faculty members from other universities also visited and appreciated the efforts of the students. Dr. Muhammad Irfan Khan appreciated the students and urged that beside theoretical learning such activities provide opportunities for some psycho-motor learning.
