Faculty of Arabic (Female Campus) organized the closing ceremony of Arabic Calligraphy Course and Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition that was inaugurated by the Prof .Dr. Samina Malik Vice President of Female Campus- IIU.
It was also attended by Dr. Najeeba Arif, Dean Faculty of Languages & Literature, Dr. Sumyya Chughtai, Student Adviser (Female Campus), Dr. Abdul Qadir Haroon from Faculty of Usuluddin, Dr. Riffat Ali Syed from Jamia AlAzhar, Egypt, Dr. Aliya Akram, Chairperson of Faculty of Arabic, Faculty Members and a large number of Female students.
Prof. Dr. Fazlullah, Dean of Faculty welcomed all the guests. In his address, he briefed about the importance of course and thanked all the invited guests and participants for gracing the occasion by their solemn presence.
In this course, “Kufi Calligraphy” and “Ruqaa Calligraphy” were taught by Dr. Moaid Fadhil – Associate Professor of Faculty of Arabic. Addressing to the participants of the ceremony, he gave brief introduction regarding Arabic Calligraphy and its types.
He also congratulated the Winners and course participants for completing the course successfully. During the ceremony, Dr. Riffat Ali Syed from Jamea Al Azhar, Egypt, Dr. Sulaiman al–Hawamda–from the Department of Dawah & Islamic Culture, International Islamic University, Islamabad , Dr. Abdul Mujeeb, Head of Literature Department, Arabic Faculty also spoke on the occasion appreciating this effort.
At the end of the ceremony, cash prizes and course completion certificates were awarded to the Winners and course participants.
