ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD CONFERRED ON DR. AL-DRAIWEESH

DSC_9124President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh has been conferred an Award of Excellence by  the varsity teachers’ community in recognition of his services and untiring efforts for improvements in academic wings and inducting faculty members for the achievement of varsity’s goal of academic excellence.

The award was conferred on him in a special ceremony held at Faisal Masjid Campus which was attended by the Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Deans, Director General IIUI, newly inducted professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, lecturers and Directors.

Due to his efforts, university has recently inducted 18 full professors, 24 Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and lectures. The teacher community has termed the development as vital for improvements in terms of faculty strengthen.

Speaking in the ceremony, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai lauded the services and dedication of Dr. Al-Draiweesh. “Do-more policy is pre-requisite in terms of improvements in education and IIUI leadership would seek maximum results from the newly inducted faculty members who have become an omen of strengthened academic wings of the university” said Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai while felicitating the newly appointed professors and other faculty members.

Dr. Zafar Iqbal President Academic Staff Association (ASA) and Chairman Department of Media and Communication Studies lauded support, cooperation and dedication of Dr. Al-Draiweesh while saying that “appointments are a start of positive spring at university which is unprecedented”.DSC_9077

Speaking to the ceremony, Dr. Al-Draiweesh thanked the teachers’ community and opined that hard work leads to success and galaxy of new professors and associate professors at IIUI is an example of leadership and administration’s mutual efforts. “Teachers are the fate changers of Muslim Ummah, they must take this responsibility with due dedication and nurture the youths in best contemporary manners” said Dr. Al-Draiweesh.
