INTERSECTIONS INTERNATIONAL HAILS DR. AL-DRAIWEESH’S CONTRIBUTIONS

Founding Director of US based Intersections International and a leading orientalist , Rev. Robert Chase has hailed services of President International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Al-Draiweesh for disseminating  Islam’s message of peace and justice.

 Mr. Chase made these remarks on the occasion of an international interdisciplinary conference on “Grassroots Approaches to US-Pakistan Relations” which was organized by Iqbal international Institute for Research and Dialogue (IRD) of International Islamic University (IIUI) and Intersections International.

 Mr. Chase also applauded Dr. Al-Draiweesh for his contributions to the environment, while terming him as a staunch seeker of peace. While referring to the book authored by Dr. Al-Draiweesh titled “Preservation of Water and Plant Environment in Islamic Jurisprudence”, Mr. Chase appreciated his efforts for preserving earth’s air and water resources terming those as commendable.

 He recalled his meeting with the IIUI President in Astana, Kazakhstan where both delegates met on the sidelines of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. Referring to that meeting, Founding Director of Intersections International told about the matters discussed by both of them including interreligious cooperation and ways to cure the ailment of extremism.

 Mr. Chase appreciated Dr. Al-Draiweesh for his diverse personality while mentioning his contribution in academic, preaching and social fields. He said Dr. Al-Draiweesh is a credible and true source of Islam’s message and he has been perfectly delivering its true picture in international arena. Mr. Chase especially mentioned books, articles, speeches and discussions of Dr. Al-Draiweesh saying that those are the best examples of Islam’s message of moderation and tranquility.

 Mr. Chase added that Dr. Al-Draiweesh is not only serving Pakistan but he is also an active personality who is serving world by addressing its core issues and we can be termed as an international asset.
