Professor Dr. Rehmat Khan, Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal, Upper Dir, KPK called on Professor Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).
During the meeting Dr. Masoom Yasinzai briefed Professor Khan about IIUI and its ongoing activities. The issues of mutual interest came under discussion and particularly the matter of online classes during the COVID – 19 came under focus. The Rector IIUI shared the experience of online classes IIUI with Professor Khan. The VC said that as his university falls in a far flung area and the students and teachers face certain internet problems. They have used all kind of modes to deliver lectures and material to the students. Professor Khan told Rector IIUI about certain projects through public private partnership at Shringle University to generate funds and make the university financial self sufficient.
Professor Khan also invited Rector IIUI to collaborate in various fields particularly in the areas of Forestry, Bio Sciences, and Environmental Science. Dr. Masoom appreciated the gesture of Professor Khan and promised to visit Shringle University at the earliest. He also briefed about the role of IIUI to develop a narrative against terrorism called Paigam-I-Pakistan and gave a copy to Professor Khan on this occasion.
Earlier, Professor Rehmat Khan also conducted the Viva Voice Examination of a Ph. D, student of Mathematics in Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences (FBAS), IIUI.
