THAI NATIONAL ASSEMBLY DELEGATION VISITS IIUI

A delegation from National Assembly of Thailand visited International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) where they met IIUI Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai and Thai students of the varsity.

The delegation had a detailed meeting with IIUI Rector, Acting President IIUI Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan, Vice President IIUI, Dr. Muhammad Munir, Vice President HS&R Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik and Thai students. The delegation of Thai National Legislative Assembly included Gen. Nipat THONGLEK, Mrs. Phinissorn SIKKAHBANDIT and Natcha NILRAT.

IIUI Rector, while welcoming the delegation said that IIUI focuses on building harmonious and balanced personalities. He added that university has a vision of providing quality education to the youth which must be integrated with teachings of Islam. Dr. Masson continued that peace and prosperity be disseminated by the varsities as same is the message of Islam. He furthered that Islam is religion of peace tranquility and it has emphasized upon peace co-existence.  He concluded with his remarks that IIUI will remain always available for mutual cooperation with Thai educational institutions and Thai students at IIUI will be provided every possible cooperation and facility at campus.

The Thai delegation head, Gen. Nipat THONGLEK appreciated the role of IIUI in promotion of education and hoped that IIUI and his country’s educational institutions, with bilateral cooperation can open new horizons of educational progress in both countries.  He mentioned that IIUI has a vital role in dissemination of Islamic attributes in Thailand.

Thai students apprised the delegation about their studies at the varsity and told about the academic excellence they have been experiencing.
