Provincial Minister for School Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan called on Prof. Dr. Sulaiman Abdullah Aba Al-Khail, Pro Chancellor International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).
The meeting which was held at Lahore was also attended by the President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, Justice (R) Khalil ur Rehman and delegation members from Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University, Riyadh.
It was agreed in the meeting that steps for expanding bilateral cooperation will be taken in the future, while Dr. Sulaiman Aba Al-Khail assured of maximum cooperation in strengthening ties between Saudi and Pakistani universities. On the occasion, IIUI Pro Chancellor told the minister about IIUI 10th convocation and also briefed him regarding his meetings with different educational institutions’ heads amid his visit to Pakistan.
Later, Rana Mashhood hosted a dinner in honour of Saudi Arabian delegation led by Dr.Sulaiman Bin Abdullah Aba-Al Khail.
President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Dr Ahmad Yousif Al Draiweesh and Deans of the Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Riyadh were among the participants.
The Saudi delegates, talking to the Punjab minister, expressed their well wishes for the peace and prosperity in Pakistan.
Rana Mashhood apprised the delegation about various steps taken by the federal and Punjab governments for the promotion of education at all levels.
Chairperson Punjab Higher Education Commission Dr Nizamud Din, Government College University (GCU) Vice Chancellor Dr Hassan Ameer Shah, Education University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-e-Azam and other high officials from public sector universities also attended the dinner.
