A high level meeting of International Islamic University Islamabad officials to review the circumstances after the violent carnage and devise a future policy was held here at Faisal Masjid campus on Friday.
It was chaired by IIUI Rector and President, while it was also attended by Vice Presidents, DGs, Deans, Directors General, Directors, Students Advisors, Provosts and other relevant officials.
It was decided in the meeting that a ‘combing operation’ will be launched with the help of Ministry of interior and its subordinate offices at university hostels in which strict action will be taken against illegal and unconcerned elements.
The meeting also discussed the issue pertaining to entrance of outsiders into the premises of IIUI which caused the untoward happening resultantly. On the occasion, IIUI Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai and President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh constituted a high level committee which was directed to present a detailed report regarding the unfortunate happening at the campus within two days.
IIUI President said on the occasion that hindrances in the peaceful milieu of the university will be dealt with strict measures and all the lethal attempts to sabotage the image of university will be foiled. He said negative elements will be dealt with iron hands.
Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh sincerely thanked and acknowledged the timely help and cooperation extended by Ministry of Interior, its relevant offices and capital administration.
Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh expressed deep grief and sorrow on the loss of life of a student of the university and extended his solidarity with the family of deceased. He assured maximum cooperation to the bereaved family.
At the end of the meeting, IIUI President offered supplication for the departed soul and also prayed for the early recovery of those students who sustained injuries.
Later on, IIUI Rector held meetings with the officials of the capital administration and law enforcement agencies and discussed the situation.

بین الاقوامی اسلامی یونیورسٹی کے نیو کیمپس میں پرتشدد واقعہ کے بعد صورتحال کا جائزہ لینے، معاملے کو درست طریقے سے حل کرنے اور جامعہ میں امن و امان کے لیے مستقبل کی پالیسی کے ضمن میں خصوصی اجلاس جمعہ کے روز فیصل مسجد کیمپس میں ہوا۔
اجلاس کی صدارت ریکٹر و صدر جامعہ نے کی جبکہ اس موقع پر جامعہ کے نائب صدور، ڈائریکٹرز جنرل، ڈائریکٹرز،پرووسٹ ہاسٹلز، مشیران طلبا سمیت دیگر متعلقہ عہدیداران نے شرکت کی۔.
اجلاس میں فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ وزارت داخلہ اور اس کے ماتحت سیکیورٹی اداروں کی مدد سے بہت جلد ہی جامعہ کے ہاسٹلز میں کومبنگ آپریشن شروع کیا جاےگا جس میں غیز قانونی اور غیر متعلقہ عناصر کے خلاف بلا تخصیص کارروائی کی جاے گے
اجلاس میں جامعہ سے تعلق نہ رکھنے والے افراد کے کیمپس میں داخلے اور ان کی وجہ سے پیش آنے والے نا خوشگوار واقعے پر بھی بحث کی گئ جبکہ اس ضمن میں ریکٹر اور صدر جامعہ نے ایک خصوصی کمیٹی تشکیل دیتے ہوے اسے ہدایت کی کہ دو دن کے اندر واقعے کے ذمہ داران کا تعین کرے اور اس افسوسناک واقعے کی وجوہات پر تفصیلی رپورٹ پیش کرے
اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر احمد یوسف الدریویش نے کہا کہ جامعہ کے طلبا کی حفاظت اور ان کو اعلی تعلیم کے لیے پرامن ماحول کی فراہمی کی راہ میں حائل ہر روکاوٹ کے ساتھ سختی سے نمٹا جاے گا، صدر جامعہ نے اس عزم کو دہرایا کہ جامعہ کے امن و امان کو سبوتاژ کرنے والے عناصر کو آہنی ہاتھوں سے نمٹا جاے گا۔
.ڈاکٹر الدریویش نے اس موقع پر بروقت تعاون اور حالات کی بہتری کے لیے بہترین اقدامات پر وزارت داخلہ اور اس کے ماتحت امن و امان نافذ کرنے والے اداروں اور اسلام آباد انتظامیہ کے اعلیٰ افسران کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔
اس موقع پر انہوں نے جانی نقصان پر گہرے دکھ اور رنج کا اظہار کرتے ہوے ہدایت کی کہ پسماندگان کے ساتھ رابطہ رکھا جاے اور انہیں ہر ممکن تعاون فراہم کیا جاے۔
آخر میں صدر جامعہ نے جان بحق ھونے والے طا لب علم کے لئے دعائے مغفرت کی اور زخمی طلبا کی جلد صحت یابی کے لئے بھی دعا کرائی۔
بعدازاں، ریکٹر جامعہ ڈاکٹر معصوم یاسین زئی نے انتظامیہ اور سکیورٹی کے نفاذ سے متعلقہ اداروں کےاعلی عہدیداروںسے ملاقاتیں کیں اور صورتحال کے حوالے سے تبادلہ خیال کیا۔
