President of
the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh led the funeral prayers in absentia of Muneera bint Ali , a renowned philanthropist and mother of Mehmood Al-Deeb , member of Board of Trustees of university and endower of the Quran Memorization and study center named “ Dar ul Muneera” at IIUI.
Muneera bint Ali died couple of days ago in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At Faisal Masjid, the funeral prayers were also joined by IIUI officials including Rector IIUI, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Vices Presidents, Deans and other officials of the university.
Earlier, President IIUI, in his message on demise had said that IIUI leadership, its teaching fraternity, officers and employees have saddened hearts today upon the sad news of the death of Muneera Bint Ali who served humanity and worked for the cause of Muslim World. He prayed for the patience of the bereaved family calling it an irreparable loss. He said that IIUI stands with the family of the departed soul at this hour of sorrow and grief. He also prayed to Allah to give strength to Al-Deeb and his family to bear sorrow and grief with fortitude.
