PAKISTANI STUDENTS ARE PRIDE OF UMMAH, DR. AL-DRAIWEESH

IIUI TO ESTABLISH MULTI-ACTIVITIES CENTRE IN FEMALE CAMPUS

Pakistani Female Students by their talent, abilities and dedicated efforts in all spheres get high recognition and Ummah feels pride on their contributions. They own dignity and high status as they are playing sincere and valued role for the development of Muslim Ummah.

This was said by Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President International Islamic University Islamabad on annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of co- curricular activities held at Female Campus of the university. On the occasion, on behalf of Pro Chancellor IIUI Prof Dr. Suliman Abdullah bin Aba Al-Khail, Dr. AL-Draiweesh also announced to establish Multi-Activity Centre at Female Campus and to conduct Summer Training Camp for particularly position holder students with cooperation of Immam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Riyadh KSA. In the annual co-curricular activities more than forty competitions were held in which 146 shining students got po sitions and they were awarded prizes and certificates.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Samina MalikDirector Female Campus, Dr. Bashir Khan Vice President Academics, Dr. Naveed Aqdas Vice President HS&R, Deans, Directors, Students’ Advisor (Female) Ms Asma Mansoor and large number of students.

In his address, Dr. Al-Draiweesh admired the capabilities and spirit of students who showed their competencies in the competitions and appreciated tireless efforts of teachers to make the events successful in all respects. “Being the heads of institute, I feel immense pleasure and pride that female students are dedicatedly contributing in social sectors” he said.

President IIUI advised the students as they own high moral character and being the symbol of ethics keep this recognition always alive and promote attitude of cooperation in the society. Dr. Al-Draiweesh assured them that university administration is committed to provide every facility to Female Campus and to create best opportunities is always on priority.

In her welcome address, Dr. Samina Malik said co-curricular activities play vital role in character building and understandings. She further vowed to provide even more opportunities to students to show their hidden abilities. Dr. Samina also congratulated to all organizers on the successful end of competitions. Ms Asma Mansoor, in her vote of thanks presented success story of the students and thanked the university administration for cooperation and support to make the event successful.
