There is no place for terrorism in Islam, it’s a religion of peace which discourages violent attitudes and grudges, said Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL), Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdul Karim Al-Essa.
He was addressing here at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Faisal Masjid Campus in a seminar on “Role of Muslim World League and IIUI in Combating Extremism and Terrorism and Promotion of Moderation”.
Secretary General, MWL said that individuals suffering from the disease of terrorism must be helped out to get rid of it. He stressed that wrong perceptions against Islam must be countered as few elements are causing negative propaganda.

mmad Yousaf, Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, Advisor to Prime Minister Engineer Ameer Muqam, Religious Scholar Maulana Sami ul Haq, Former Premier AJK, Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, President IIUI Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Drawieesh, Vice Presidents, Director General and other renowned personalities.
Participants of the seminar called upon the universities that they should devise their curriculum in a way that students be able to play role against terrorism. They recommended that Ulema and researchers be bought on a platform to discuss the solutions regarding terrorism.
Maulana Sami ul haq suggested of a conference and said that it should discuss possibilities and solutions to the terrorism. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri stressed upon Ulema to play their role in the society.
Dr. Masoom Yasinzai said that IIUI’s leading objective is to nurture Youth in the light of Islamic teachings so they can be successful in the practical life. He said that university is providing a sectarian free milieu to the students and its scholars have a potential to address the leading challenges of hour being faced by Muslim World.

esh apprised the participants about role of IIUI in dissemination of peace. He said that universities can play pivotal role in finding solutions to the terrorism. Earlier, an MoU of bilateral cooperation was also signed between MWL and IIUI. Secretary General MWL also inaugurated University’s Campus Management System at new campus.
