LITERARY & CULTURAL MUSTER DISCUSSES ARABIC AS KEY TO KNOWLEDGE

A literary and cultural gathering at the Faisal Masjid campus of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) was organized where veteran experts and prudent personalities shared their thoughts on the topic “Arabic key to knowledge”.

The event was attended by Senator Talha Mehmood, member senate of Pakistan, President IIUI, Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh, a member of Parliament from Kuwait, Advisor from Embassy of Kuwait, Deputy Ambassador of Bahrain, IIUI deans, foreign faculty members of the university and other relevant IIUI officials.

On the occasion, Jamiat e Ushaaq al-Arabia awarded an appreciation certificate and a shield to Dr. Al-Draiweesh in recognition of his services for the promotion of Arabic.

Senator Talha, who is also Advisor of Jamiat e Ushaaq al-Arabia hailed services of Dr. Al-Draiweesh and lauded his narrations and books. He added that IIUI President has been playing a pivotal role in dissemination of Arabic language and projecting its importance.

Dr. Al Draiweesh, thanked the organization and said that Arabic is a pre-requisite to interpret Islamic teachings. He said Muslim youth must acquire Arabic language education which will pave for their success in the present world and hereafter.

Meanwhile, IIUI, in recognition of his services for promotion of Arabic language and exemplary cooperation in the varsity’s moot on Arabic language, also awarded a shield and a certificate to Senator Talha Mehmood which were presented by Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh.

Senator Talha thanked the university and its administration and vowed that he will be working with more zest to work with IIUI and promote the Arabic language.
