The Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad has organized one week training workshop for IRI International Postdoctoral Fellows at Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus, International Islamic University, Islamabad.
Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, International Islamic University, Islamabad presided over the concluding ceremony. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif A. Al-Draiweesh, President, International Islamic University, Islamabad graced the occasion and talked about the significance of postdoctoral research in Pakistan while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah, Vice-Chancellor, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad was the Chief Guest of the ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Director General, Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad welcomed all the distinguished guests.
The Eminent International Scholars like Prof. Dr. Sebastian Guenther from Germany, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Masud, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Director General, Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Abdul Quddous Sohaib, Director, Islamic Research Centre, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan and Dr. Aftab Ahmad, Islamic Research Institute, International Islamic University, Islamabad were the main speakers of the closing ceremony. The Rector and President, International Islamic University, Islamabad presented IRI award for outstanding academic contribution upon Honorable Professor Sebastian Gunther, Chair of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Georg August University, Gottingen, Germany in recognition of his long-standing services to promote education, research and dialogue between East and West. At the end of the ceremony, shields and certificates were distributed among the guests speakers and Postodoctoral Fellows.
