IRD ARRANGES TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR ULEMA 

Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialogue (IRD)  of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a four-day training workshop for Ulema at Faisal Masjid campus.

The program is being attended by more than one hundred ulama and Alimat hailing from different reigon f the country.

Dr. Qibla Ayaz Chairman, Council of Islamic Ideology ( CII) was the keynote speakerat the opening session of the training who described the historical background of the religious tradition and the narration of moderate tolerance in religion. He stated that Ulema have been playing a major role in society and it is possible to improve the society’s behavior.

Dr. Qibla Ayaz said on the occasion that apathy regarding of the scholars leads to sufferings of the society.   He stressed that Ulema must be aware of the historical background of the Islam. He delivered a coordinated lecture about Quran, Hadiths and Jurisprudence.

He gave a detailed landscape of the Islamic scholars’ services for Islam in Europe and sub-continent.  Dr. Qibla Ayaz also condemned the attack at famous Islamic scholar, Shaykh-ul-Islam Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani.  The workshop was also addressed by Syed Hassan Aftab, Director, IRD, Mr. Bilal Idress, Dr. Attique Raza, Dr. Mohsin Zaid were also spoke on the occasion.
