Faisal Mosque: Eid Prayer will be offered at 08:00 AM

Lectures at IRD
To encourage the culture of intellectual dialogue among the students and faculty members of the University, the Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialogue (IRD) is holding two lectures of Professor Dr. Dietrich Reetz, Director of the Project “Crossroads Asia” at Zentrum Moderner Orient, Berlin, Germany.

  1. The “Tablighi Jamaat as a “Global Religious Service Provider” in different Cultures and Continents” on Friday, 2 November, 2012 at 11:00 a.m in the IRI Seminar Room, Faisal Masjid Campus, IIUI.
  2. “Regional compulsions and opportunities after US/Nato withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2014” on Monday, 5 November, 2012 at 11:00 a.m in the Seminar Room, Main Library (Ibn-e-Sina Library Complex), New Campus, IIU.

All Male/Female faculty/students are cordially invited to attend the lecture. Given the importance and relevance of the topic of the 2nd day the faculty/students hailing from central Asia are requested to kindly attend the lecture.

IIUI holds meeting of the Academic committee
A meeting of the Academic Committee of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) to discuss the arrangements of forth coming international seminar on “IIUI: Today and Future Vision” held at the New Campus of the university. Dr. Tahir Mansoori, Director General, Shariah Academy, IIUI chaired the meeting.

The committee members discussed various issues regarding forth coming seminar and constituted a Sub Committee to evaluate the topics which will be presented in the seminar. According to the decision of the committee the seminar will be held in the second week of February, 2013. Eminent scholars of IIUI and abroad will be invited to present their papers in the said seminar.

IIUI holds workshop on “True Spirit of Love For Prophet” (Peace be upon him)
Faculty of Islamic Studies (Female) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) organized workshop on “True Spirit of Love For Prophet” (Peace be upon him) at Female Campus of the university, in collaboration with World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) here on Tuesday.

Mr. Ibrahim Anwar, Director WAMY and Dr. Khalid Rehman, Director, Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) were the key speakers on the occasion. Dr. Ibrahim Anwar said that being a muslim it is our prime duty to follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) in every walk of life, it is also our duty to study the Hadiths to know the guidance of Holy Prophet in the day to day problems.

Dr. Khalid Rehman said that in-fact blasphemy is a conspiracy of the West about the Islamic civilization and the West wants to eliminate this civilization from the world, since there is no solution with the West to eliminate the Muslims from all over the world therefore they are satisfying their inner feeling by such conspiracies.

He said that the incidences of blasphemy were also occurred during the lifetime of Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and it is our right to protest against such incidence because the love of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) is the integral part of our faith. He added that if some one don’t feel the pinch of such incident in his heart he cannot be called a complete faithful because it is the faith of the Muslim to keep the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) dearest to the heart as compared to his parents, children and wealth. faculty members and a large number of students also attended the seminar.

Faculty of Islamic Studies (Female) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) is organizing a workshop on “True Spirit of Love For Prophet” (Peace be upon him) Today, on October 23, 2012 at 10:30 AM, at Female Campus of the university, in collaboration with World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY).

Mr. Ibrahim Anwar, Director WAMY and Dr. Khalid Rehman, Director, Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) shall be the speakers on the occasion.

IIUI hold Two Day Conference on Mathematical Sciences
A two day conference about Mathematical Sciences under the auspicious of Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences, of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) begin in the Faisal Masjid Campus of the University. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sher, Dean Faculty of Basic & Applied Sciences, IIUI inaugurated the conference. Scholars of mathematical sciences from all over the country are participating in the said conference. Two sessions were held on the first day of the conference. The first session was presided by Prof. Dr. Surayya J. Mehmood of Fatima Jinnah Women, University, Rawalpindi while the second session was presided by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ayub of Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad.

On the first day of the conference Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Dr. Asif Ali, Dr. Muhammad Aslam, Prof. Muhammad Shabbir Bhatti, Munazza Naz, Jamshaid Ahmad, Dr. Mujahid Abbas, Da. Tallat Nazir, Dr. Jahan Nawaz, Dr.Muhammad Arshad, Dr. Nasir Ali and Dr. Ahmad Zeeshan presented their papers on the subject. The conference shall remain continue till October 20, 2012.

VP IIUI Organized Lunch in honour of President IIUI

IIUI HOLD SEMINAR ON “ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS”
The International Institute of Islamic Economics (IIIE) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIIU) has organized a seminar in collaboration with the South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) on “ Possibility of Research and Its Funding in Environmental Economics” here at New Campus of the university. Prof. Dr. Asad Zaman, Director General, IIIE, Prof. Dr. Pervez Zamurrad Janjua, Chairman, School of Economics, IIIE including Faculty members of IIIE and number of students also attended the seminar. Dr. Mani Nipal, Advisor to SANDEE and Ms. Anuradha, Programme Coordinator were the resource person of the seminar.

Prof. Dr. Asad Zaman in his concluding remarks said that the world economy is facing crises one after other. While referring to Stieglitz, noble prize laureate, he pointed out the inability of the existing economic theory to predict the vital socioeconomic issues including preservation and utilization of natural and human resources. He emphasize the need to preserve biodiversity and ecological equilibrium in the process of development. Dr. Asad Zaman assured the delegation to do joint effort with SANDEE for research and training of IIIE faculty and research students in the field of environmental economics.

Dr. Mani Nipal has said that the SANDEE is a regional network that uses economic tools and analyses to address South Asia’s environmental challenges. The SANDEE brings together South Asian researchers and institutes interested in the inter-connections among development, poverty and environment. Its main goal is to build the professional skills required to enable South Asians to address local and global environmental concerns. To achieve this purpose SANDEE is facilitating research, training, curriculum development and policy making process in the sphere of environment. The specific areas of research include climate change, ecosystem management and green growth.

Dr. Mani added that SANDEE organizes two research and training workshops in a year which are focused on grant-related training. At theses meetings, new grant proposals are considered, existing and continuing research grants are reviewed and advanced training programmes are organized. He invited the researchers of IIIE for their active participation in the research and training program of SANDEE.

Before this Prof. Dr. Pervez Zamurrad Janjua welcomed the guests and briefed the audience about the academic programs & research activities of the institute. He emphasized the need for research on environmental economics because the geographic, climatic and societal conditions of South Asian region require joint efforts to address common issues of environment and development.

At the end a question answer session was held in which Dr. Mani Nipal and Ms. Anuradha answered the questions raised by the participants.

IIUI holds “Poster Competition” & “Essay Writing Competition”
Human Rights Forum (HRF) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) arranged “poster competition” at female campus and “Essay Competition” at male campus with collaboration of Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue (IRD).

Dr. M. Abdul Wahhab, Professor, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh inaugurated the events. 87 female students from various departments participated in the poster competition. Poster competition was on the theme of “Let The Green Grow”. Dr. Zaitoon Begum, Director Female Campus, Dr. Munazza Yaqoob, Student Advisor (Female) and Faculty Advisor of HRF were also present on the occasion.

Essay Competition at male side was on the theme of “ Flaws in our existing education system”. 35 students wrote essay for the contest, 5 choose Urdu medium while the rest went for the English medium. Dr. Munazza Yaqoob, Student Advisor (Female) and Faculty Advisor of HRF also appreciated the talent shown by the students.

IIUI to hold International Seminar on “The IIU Today and Future Vision”
International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) will hold an International seminar titled “The IIU Today and Future Vision” in next January to devise a comprehensive plan for the future promotion of the university. For this purpose scholars of international repute will be invited and the said plan will be devise in the light of the recommendations and suggestions.

It was decided by a high level meeting, presided by Dr. Ahmad Yousif A Al-Draiweesh, President IIUI. The Meeting decided to constitute various committees to perform academic, administrative and other miscellaneous staff. As a first step in the meeting the academic committee was constituted under the chairman ship of Prof. Dr. Tahir Mansoori, Director General Shariah Academy, IIUI while Prof. Dr. Nabi Bux Jumani, Dean Faculty of Social Science has appointed as the secretary of the committee. It was decided that other committees will be constituted later on.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh said that this International seminar will play pivotal role in achieving the aims and objectives of the university and it will speed up academic and research activities in the university. He directed the members of the committee to come with comprehensive plans and report regarding holding of seminar if possible. Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman considered the seminar as a turning point for the progress and prosperity of the university.

IIUI: Knowledge is the legacy of Prophets;
Dr. Al-Draiweesh
President International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Prof. Dr. Ahmad bin Yousif Al-Draiweesh has said that knowledge is the legacy of prophets and scholars are its custodians of this inherited. The Scholars inherits only the knowledge, now this is our responsibility to transfer this legacy to the next generation with responsibility. He was addressing to the meeting of Deans and head of different faculties and departments.

He said that we all should work for the welfare of Muslim Ummah and for betterment of the societies where we live in. For this purpose we have to work with sincerity and concentration toward this objective. He said that in order to cope the university with new dimensions an international conference will be called soon where renowned scholars and intellectuals will be invited and in their guidance and consultation comprehensive plan for the development of the university will be chalked out. He further said that to establish the strong relationship with the other universities and to share the information the university will develop a particular website which will be helpful to establish close relations with other universities.

Regarding the expansion of the university Dr. Al-Draiweesh said that several departments shall be converted into complete faculties to make them work independently. To promote the research culture in the university he insisted that the faculty members and the students will be properly guided and all facilities will be provided to them. Addressing to the teachers of the university he said that we should work together to lead the university to the new heights of providing quality education.

On the occasion Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, Vice President, IIUI assured full cooperation and hoped that the in the leadership of Dr. Al-Draiweesh university will achieve its objectives.

MR. SAFI ULLAH KHAN MARWAT HAS BEEN GRANTED HEC PHD SCHOLARSHIP FOR USA
Mr. Safi Ullah Khan Marwat, Lecturer / PhD Scholar, Department of History & Pakistan Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has been granted PhD Scholarship for USA under IRSIP by HEC. He will be under the supervision of Professor Dr. Gail Minault, Department of History, University of Texas at Austin, USA.

President IIUI for provision of facilities to foreigner students
President International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Ahmad Yousif A. Al-Draiweesh said that the doors of IIUI will be open for the foreigner students in accordance with the rules and regulations of the country and in this regard every possible facility would be ensured.

He said this while addressing the sectional heads meeting of various departments of the university. Heads of various departments briefed the President about the activities of their respective departments. The President showed his satisfaction over the briefing and directed the heads to submit comprehensive reports and future planning about their departments.

Dr. Ahmad Yousif hoped that the performance of the various departments will be enhanced in his supervision. He said that only President cannot solve all problems single handedly. However, he hoped that in order to achieve the targets; the employees will provide him full cooperation. He said that the students, teachers and employees are three main components of the university administration and he will try his best to achieve the targets of the institute with the help of these components.

Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, Vice President IIUI thanked the President on the behalf of the employees and assured him about full cooperation of the employees.

Dr. Ahmad Yousif A. Al-Draiweesh joins IIUI
No stone will be left un-turned to achieve the aims and objectives of the foundation of International Islamic University, Islamabad and we will try our best to bring this university at par with the prestigious and remarkable universities of the world. It was said by Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yousif A. Al-Draiweesh, the newly appointed President of the university in a reception in his honour, after his arrival in the university. Earlier on his arrival to the university he was warmly welcomed by the Academic and Administrative Officers of the university and flower bouquet was also presented on the occasion.

Dr. Ahmad Yousif A. Al-Draiweesh has also served as a Vice-Rector of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Saudi Arabia and President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari on the recommendation of search committee and in consultation with Rector IIUI, appointed him as a President of International Islamic University, Islamabad.

Dr. Al- Draiweesh thanked the President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari for his appointment as President, IIUI and said that He will try his best to come over the expectation of the President of Pakistan. He also thanked the Khadim ul Harmain Sharifain who choose him for the service of Pakistani peoples. He said that Islamic University is the nucleus of the hopes and expectations of Islamic world. In order to fulfill these expectations such a generation will be produced in the Islamic University which will be free from the passions of extremism and terrorism and will be provided a better and balanced leadership to Islamic world.

He further said that he will try his best to bring this university at par to the prestigious and remarkable university of the modern world. But he added that this goal cannot be achieved without sincerity and mutual cooperation. In order to start this journey towards this destination he directed the heads of all the departments to come with short term and long term plans. Dr. Al-Draiweesh said that cooperation will be enhanced with the remarkable universities of Islamic world, mutual visits of the teachers and students will be arranged and mutual experiences in the fields of teaching and research will be shared. Referring towards the importance of training programmes he said that in order to uplift the capabilities of teaching and administrative staff, indoor training programmes will be arranged and in order to acknowledge the outstanding performance of the participants they will be awarded with prizes. He said that to increase the financial sources of the IIUI the Philanthropists will be invited to cooperate with IIUI and finance its programmes and projects.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh further added that in order to introduce new disciplines chairs will be created in IIUI and for the promotion of research no stone will be left unturned. In order to attract the foreigner students Dr. Al-Draiweesh announced that a special fund will be generated for this purpose and the educational expenditures of the foreigner students will be met out of this fund. He said that although Islamic university is based on Islamic disciplines but beside these disciplines other sciences and disciplines will also be introduced in the university because these sciences are also the part and paved of our religion.

He said that in order to get benefit from the knowledge and experiences of the scholars of international repute they will also be invited in conferences and seminars. The President said that after assuming of the charge the university he wished to see visible changes in the routine of the university. He directed the academic and administrative staff to work hard with devotion and Islamic spirit. He said that Pakistan is my own home and I feel no alienation and beside IIUI, I will try my best to serve Pakistani people.

Earlier Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector IIUI warmly welcomed his appointment as a president and considered it a good omen for the university and hoped that a new era will be started in Islamic University on his arrival as a president. He lauded the role of Saudi Government and highlighted which was played in the past and hoped that they will support Islamic University effectively in the future and will bring visible changes in the university. He also hoped that under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Al-Draiweesh the IIUI will became such a lighthouse which will enlightened the whole Islamic world.

Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, Vice President IIUI, Director General, Deans, Directors, Faculty members and a large number of administrative officers were also present on the occasion.

IIUI holds Anti Dengue Fumigation Today
In order to fumigate both the campuses of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), the university is holding Anti Dengue Fumigation today (October 12, 2012). The campaign shall remain continue till October 14, 2012. In this campaign both campuses of IIUI shall be fumigate. It is also important to mention here that during the current rains it is the second campaign to be launched.

IIUI: Public Awareness Seminar on “World Mental Health Day”
Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, President International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has said that religious and secular world is agreed upon this fact that a nation cannot show progress and development in political ideological and economic fields without mental and ideological dominance. He was addressing to a seminar on “World Mental Health Day” organized by the Dept. of Psychology (Female) of the University.

Dr. Sajid ur Rehman said that today a minority nation due to its mental power ruling the world which proves that not only numerical superiority but mental power is the basic cause of progress and development. He added that without these proper thinking if someone goes towards a destination he will never reach on his destination therefore in order to ensure the success, individually and collectively it is imperative for us to think a lot before any action. Therefore we should take every step consciously.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Tahir Khalily, Head Dept. of Psychology (Male), IIUI said that mental health problems in Pakistan have reached to an alarming stage in the past few decades due to violence, insurgency, natural calamity and the current situation in the country. Dr. Khalily pointed out these issues as depression, substance & Alcohol use disorders and suicides etc. He showed deep concerns over the suicide ratio in the youth of Pakistan and said that the media of our country should aware the society about mental health problems.

Dr. Seema Gul, Chief Organizer of the seminar and Head Dept. of Psychology (Female) of the university highlighted the importance of “Mental Health Day”. Dr. Zaitoon Begum, Director Female Campus, IIUI and Dr. Nabi Bux Jumani, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, IIUI also addressed to the seminar. Faculty members, administrative officers, staff members and a large number of male and female students also attended the seminar.

IIUI to hold seminar on “Civilized Way of Effective Protesting” today
Psychology and Mental Health Forum under the auspices of Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) is holding a seminar on occasion of “World Mental Health Day” on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 09:30 a.m., at Quaid-e-Azam Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus of the university. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, President, IIUI will grace the occasion.

IIUI to hold Lecture on “Death in the context of Islam and Modern Medical science” on October 10.
Dr. Ismat Ullah, Head, Fiqh Unit of the Islamic Research Institute (IRI) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) shall deliver a lecture on “Death in the Context of Islam and Modern Medical Science” at Dr. Fazal ur Rehman Seminar Hall of the Institute at Faisal Mosque Campus of the university on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 10:00 am. Acting Director General of the Institute Dr. M. Tahir Mansoori will chair the seminar. All interested in this topic are cordially invite to attend this seminar.

IIUI: workshop on “QUALITY ASSURANCE AND SELF ASSESSMENT PROCEDURES”
A workshop was organized by the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) at Main campus of the university at Council Hall Administration block here on Thursday 4th October,2012. Dr Irshad Ahmad Arshad , Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) was the resource person of the workshop. The workshop was organized for faculty members of Faculty of Management Science, Engineering & Technology, English, Urdu and Economics.

Director QEC thanked Higher Education Commission (HEC) for starting Quality Assurance Procedures implementation in Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s) for evaluation all academic programs and to accelerate the quality improvement process of education in the country. He appreciated the role of Quality Assurance process to fill the gap between HEC Policies for academic programs and IIUI Policy. He thanked all Program Team members for achieving the goals and completing the task assigned to them. Director QEC informed the participants that QEC of our university has achieved 90% score in the latest score card by HEC and has been placed at Top category ‘W” by HEC. Which is all due to valuable support from Worthy President Prof Dr Sahibzada Sajid Ur Rehman and Rector Prof Dr Masoom Yasinzai.

Director QEC discussed all the updated procedures of QA and role of Program team & assessment team in identifying issues in academic programmes offered at universities. By finding such weak areas in academic programs, all such issues and weak areas will be brought into notice of high authorities and will be resolved soon Insha’Allah. Schedule of Assessment Team visit were asked from concerned departments.

At the end Mr. Imran Ullah Khan Marwat, Assistant Director QEC, shared the future plan for Current semester of Fall 2012 with faculty members and requested them to complete all the task assigned to them in due time.

OWA Holds farewell in honour of Manzoor Hussain Shah and Ishtiaq Ahmed
Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has said that if a man performs his official duties honestly his status is not less than accepted worship. He was addressing to the Farewell Party organized by the Officers Welfare Association (OWA) of the IIUI in honour of two recently retired IIUI officers Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah, Deputy Director Sports and Ishtiaq Ahmed, Assistant Director Budget.

He said that IIUI acknowledges the services of Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah and Ishtiaq Ahmed and we pray for their further success in lives. Dr. Masoon Yasinzai also directed the IIUI administration for promotion of female officers. Khurshid Alam, Director Finance IIUI paid rich tribute to excellent services of the two officers and said that all the officers of IIUI should follow these officers as their character is exemplary for others.

Raja Muhammad Munir, President OWA also mentioned the services of Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah and Ishtiaq Ahmed and expressed his best wishes for their future lives. Gifts and IIUI Shields were also presented to both the officers on the occasion.

Monthly meeting of Administrative Officers of IIUI
A monthly meeting of the officers of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) headed by Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, President IIUI was held in the New Campus of the University here on Wednesday. The meeting reviewed the previous taken decisions and implications.

The president, showed satisfaction over the construction work completed, improvement in education standards and reduction of unessential expenditures of the university. He said that university is on the way of progress and as we have different atmosphere as compared to other universities therefore, the officers should work hard to maintain standard in every field.

IIUI: Seminar on “Behavioral Analysis and Management”
Department of Psychology of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) arranged a Seminar on “Behavioral Analysis and Management” here at New Campus of the University. Professor Shoaib Shahhid (Registered Clinical Psychologist USA) was a key note speaker on occasion. He gave thought provoking lecture and intellectually stimulating talk over the topic. Faculty members of other departments of Social Sciences had also attended seminar.

IIUI: Farewell in honour of Retired Officers
Manzoor Hussain Shah, Deputy Director Sports, International Islamic University Islamabad has been retired from service on completing sixty years age on yesterday. He started his career in the University as sports officer and retired as deputy director sports. He was awarded by presidential award (Certificate of Merit) by President Zia ul Haq, (Medal of Merit) by President Ghulam Ishaq Khan and (Silwar palm) by President Perwaz Musharaf.

A farewell lunch was arranged by the sports department in honor of Manzoor Shah, attended by huge number of Officers, Teachers and officials of the University. Tabraiz Aslam, Director Human Resource, Khalid Mehmood Raja, Director Administration, Khurshid Alam, Director Finance, Raja Munir, President Officers welfare Association, Dr. Mohammad Sher, President Academic Staff Association, Dr. Shabeer, Principal Medical Officer, Tahir Khan, Director Planning & Projects , Muzamal Hussain Shah, Deputy Director Press and Khalid Chaudhry, Assistant Sports Officer spokes on the accession. They all paid rich tribute to the services of Manzoor Shah for the University.

First Training Programme For IIUI Officers Starts
Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, President of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) urged the officers of the university to play a significant role which gave them privilege and dignity. He was addressing to the inaugural ceremony of a first month long training programme organized by the Institute of Professional Development (IPD) for the administrative officers of the IIUI.

Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman said that an officer should have a visionary personality and he should be aware that their decisions will effect the future of any organization. The lack of vision will create hurdles in the process of progress of an organization. Dr. Sajid ur Rehman insisted the IIUI Officers to have confidence in the decision because without confidence no one can be motivated effectively. He also advised the officers to neglect personal liking and disliking because almighty Allah is watching you all the time.

Farewell Launch In Honour of retied IIUI Officers
Officers Welfare Association (OWA) of the International Islamic university, Islamabad (IIUI) is organizing Farewell Lunch in Honour of Two Retired Officers, Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah, Deputy Director (Sports) and Ishtiaq Ahmed (Deputy Director Budget) today at 01:45 PM, at International Café, New Campus of the university. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, President, IIUI will be the chief guest while Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed. Vice President (Academics) shall preside over the ceremony.

Training of IIUI officers starts today
Institute of Professional Development (IPD) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) is organizing a month long training programme “Officers Professional Development Course” for Administrative Officers. Opening Ceremony will be held at IPD Seminar Room, Faisal Mosque Campus on Tuesday, October 02, 2012 at 09:00 am. Dr. Sahibzada Sajid ur Rehman, President, IIUI shall be the chief guest on the occasion.

Course aims at providing a platform for BPS 17, 18 & 19 officers to share and learn from each other. It will enable the participants to revisit their ideas and practices in the context of changing management trends and benefit from the reflective sessions and course readings. Course will also help officers to evaluate their competence and equip themselves with skills required to be at par with 21st century leadership and management approaches.

Dr. Talib Hussain Sial, Kashif Suhail, Ms. Saniha Khalid, Dr. Saeed ul Hassan Chishti, Raja Khalid Mehmood, Khursheed Alam, Prof. Abrar Anwar, Ms. Shagufta Haroon and Nisar Bajwa will deliver lectures on different topics in this month long training programme.
