In connection with
Independence Day Celebrations of Pakistan, Students’ Advisor Office Female Campus organized a program at the auditorium in which Vice President (Academics), IIUI, Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afasr, Dr. Ayesha Ikram, Director General Human Resource Development (HRD), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG), ICT, Ms. Asma Sanaullah, Chairpersons of departments, senior faculty members and a large number of students participated.
In his message regarding Independence Day celebrations, Dr. Ayaz, V.P. Academics urged students to take part in extracurricular activities in addition to their academic assignments. He added that youth can play a dynamic role in a nation’s progress. He said the day of independence is an opportunity to show love for the homeland and vow to make it prosperous and stable.
Dr. Ayesha Ikram, D.G. (HRD), HEC, briefed students about the perspective of Higher Education Commission for young students and advised to remain in touch with HEC to avail scholarships for Higher Education. She also felicitated the participants saying that Pakistan must be our top priority.
Ms. Asma Sanaullah, A.D.C.G., Islamabad, motivated students in her address to take part actively in academic and allied competitive activities. She said that the role of women in nation building is pivotal. She lauded IIUI leadership for providing best facilities to female students at campus.
Dr. Summiya Chughtai, Students Advisor Female thanked honorable guests on this occasion and appreciated the organizing team of the program. In the end V.P. Academics presented IIUI souvenirs to the honorable guests on this occasion.
A documentary prepared by the Media Department of Female Campus was played during the program, while a cake cutting ceremony was also held on this occasion. Later the guests also joined a tree plantation ceremony in connection with Independence Day celebrations which was also held in the lawn of the female campus.
