As many as 18 appointed full professors at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) were welcomed with a luncheon on Monday organized by the Academic Staff Association (ASA) of the university.
In addition to the professors, 24 Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and lecturers who were appointed in the various departments were also part of the ceremony. These appointments were approved by the Board of Governors of the University in its 78th meeting.
“Do-more policy is pre-requisite in terms of improvements in education and IIUI leadership would seek maximum results from the newly inducted faculty members who have become an omen of strengthened academic wings of the university” said Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai while felicitating the newly appointed professors and other faculty members. He vowed of all possible support in the steps taken for the positivity and development of the university, while he also lauded IIUI President’s efforts in appointment of faculty members.
Dr. Al-Draiweesh, President IIUI opined that hard work leads to success and galaxy of new professors and associate professors at IIUI is an example of leadership and administration’s mutual efforts. “Teachers are the fate changers of Muslim Ummah, they must take this responsibility with due dedication and nurture the youths in best contemporary manners” said Dr. Al-Draiweesh.
Dr. Zafar Iqbal President ASA and Chairman Department of Media and Communication Studies lauded support, cooperation and dedication of IIUI leadership and said while referring to the appointments that “this positive spring at university is unprecedented”.
IIUI appointed professors thanked IIUI for trusting their abilities and hailed the varsity management for expedite efforts of induction.
