IIUI, UNISSA INK MOU, AGREE TO EXTEND COOPERATION

International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University Brunei Darussalam inked memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate with each other and to extend their expertise to other in respective emerging fields.

The signing ceremony was held at Brunei Embassy in Rabat Moroco, during the 7th General Conference of Federation of Universities of Islamic World at headquarter of headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Rabat, Kingdom of Moroco. On behalf of IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President of the university, while Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal Rector of UNISSA signed the MoU.

In pursuance of MoU both the universities would jointly explore new avenues particularly in the areas of science, research and training. The MoU would pave the way to cooperate in sharing knowledge and scientific cooperation between the two parties. The parties to this Memorandum of Understanding agreed to promote and exchanges their expertise particularly in the areas of science, literature, research and projects.

They would also launch program development and mutual cooperation in training schemes of higher education and digital media content through conferences, seminars, lectures and workshops. The body of MoU further tells that both the institutes would initiate students, teachers’ exchange programs and launching of scholarships programs every year particularly in field of science and technology.

On the occasion, Dr. Al-Draweesh appreciated the efforts of both sides to sign a memorandum of understanding and extended cooperation between them. He also thanked to the team of diplomatic mission for cooperation and support to achieve this milestone.
