IIUI ELECTS AS EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEMBER OF FUIW

International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has been elected as member of Executive Council of Federation of Universities of Islamic World (FUIW). This was announced during the 7th General Conference of Federation of Universities of Islamic World which was held under the patronage of King of Moroco Mohammed VI, at the headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Rabat, Kingdom of Moroco.

IIUI has achieved this honor to build the efforts to raise the level of scientific research in all areas of higher education and developed in response to the needs of Islamic societies. IIUI has also encouraged the teachings of Quran, Islamic culture and particularly promoting the values ​​of understanding, coexistence and peace to the World.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh thanked to all the respective members of council for extending their cooperation and trust on IIUI. Dr. Al-Draiweesh briefed them that IIUI give special attention for the promotion of peaceful coexistence; intersect harmony, inter-cultural dialogue to bring the unity and understanding among the students of varied backgrounds.

He further told that university regularly conducts out-reach programs for this cause across the country and abroad which has created positive impacts. President IIUI explained that the university has taken measures to protect the young minds to be victimized of intellectual, ideological and moral deviations.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh particularly thanked to Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General and FUIW Secretary General, Dr Suliman bin Abdulah Aba Al-Khail, Chairman of Executive Council and Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and other respected members.

The council members also admired the role, contributions and cooperation of IIUI under the leadership of Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh to upgrade the standard of International Islamic University and constant efforts for its development.
