IIUI TO REACHOUT UP TO 4 MILLION YOUTH FOR PROMOTION OF INCLUSIVENESS THROUGH PAIGHAM-E-PAKISTAN

Paigham-e-Pakistan Centre for Peace, Reconciliation and Reconstruction Studies, Islamic Research Institute (IRI), International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) arranged a consultative meeting of national experts on August 1, 2019 at IRI, Faisal Masjid Campus, Islamabad to deliberate training & education program related to youth under the title of “Youth Engagement in Reconstruction for an Inclusive Society in Pakistan”. This program is named as “Naujawan-e-Pakistan” and it will work for the activities related to promotion of Paigham-e-Pakistan.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Ahmed Al-Draiweesh, President, IIUI. He highlighted the efforts of IIUI for promotion of contents of Paigham-e-Pakistan. He said that IIU is an important member of Muslim Universities World League and will contribute in the promotion of inclusiveness, harmony and coexistence in Pakistan and other Muslim societies. He announced that this programme will outreach upto 4 million youth.

Prof. Dr. Asmat Naz, Vice Chancellor, Women University, Multan attended the meeting as Chief Guest, in her speech, she appreciated the efforts of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Ahmed Al-Draiweesh, President, IIUI and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Director General, IRI for promotion of Peace, national integrity and solidarity in Pakistan.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Director General, IRI briefed the participants about the activities related to Paigham-e-Pakistan. The meeting was attended by experts from all over Pakistan. The participants include heads of the research institutions, members of think tanks, faculty members and representatives of civil society.

The program was initially targeted as 40 thousand but the President, IIUI instructed IRI that it should reach to 4 million.
