President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al Draiweesh, President, IIUI inaugurated the Monsoon Plantation Campaign 2019 at Faisal Masjid Campus, where he planted a sapling.
In addition, as many as 250 fruit plant saplings have already been arranged by Department of Environmental Science, FBAS from NCPC as an endowment. On the occasion, The president planted a fruit tree of Guava and prayed. He has appreciated the efforts of Dr. Ibrar Shinwari, Chairman, DES and his team in bringing the university among the leading institutions of the country that are very active in Billion Tree Tsunami project and Clean and Green program of the government of Pakistan.
Dr. Shinwari told at the occasion that this activity will be followed by plantation of 250 fruit plant saplings at IIU new campus too by today and will be continued for the whole month. Later on, plant saplings were also planted by Prof. Dr. Arshid Zia, Dean, FBAS and Dr. Ibrar Shinwari, Chairman, DES.
