IIUI RECTOR STRESSES TO MINGLE RELIGIOUS AND CONTEMPORARY EDUCATION

Rector International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), Dr. Masoom Yasinzai has urged the universities of Muslim world to focus on Islamic education and they must mingle both religious and contemporary education.

This he said while talking to the members of education delegation of Oman who called on him at his office. On the occasion, Rector IIUI apprised them about role of IIUI and agreed with them that IIUI would be available to disseminate message of peace and prepare a curriculum blended with Islamic teachings. He introduced university faculties and constituent units and said it was youth which was required to be focused and nurtured in the light of Islamic teachings.

The delegation members, Dr. Badar al Hashmi Dean college of Shariah, Oman and Dr. Badar Al Hashmi, a scholar from college of Shariah, Oman hailed the role of IIUI and said it was providing quality education to the Muslim world integrated with teachings of Islam.

Later, the delegation also visited the Faisal Masjid.
