Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President International Islamic University (IIU) amid his visit to Indonesia visited Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Jakarta, Indonesia where he was received by Dr. Ali bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, Director of the institute.
The President International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Ahmed Al Draiweesh along with IIUI delegation is presently visiting different Indonesian universities. During the visit, he has signed a number of MoUs with different Indonesian Universities/Institutions of higher education. IIUI President was accompanied by the delegation members including Executive Director IRD Dr. Husn ul Amin.
His visit at institute was meant to enhance bilateral cooperation especially under the umbrella of the Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University because both IIUI and IIUI are closely linked to the former university in KSA.
His Excellency the President of the International Islamic University praised the pioneering role played by the Institute since its establishment and hailed that institute was expanding its work in other states as well.
He praised the students of Indonesia for their keenness to seek knowledge and told that a number of Indonesian students were getting quality education at the International Islamic University in Islamabad.
The Director of the Institute, accompanied the delegation to a seminar in which they visited some of the classrooms, administrative offices and the auditorium.
IIUI President dressed to the students on the occasion and stressed upon them to be committed to the teachings of Islam and be the ambassadors of peace.The Director of the Institute expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the President of the University and vowed that his institute is ready for any sort of mutual cooperation.
It is worth mentioning that the visit of the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Indonesia by Dr. Al-Draiweesh was part of his efforts is to mingle Islamic universities and institutes for high quality scientific programs in Islamic and Arab sciences through a network of cooperation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ali bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, the Director of the Institute of Islamic and Arab Sciences also hosted a dinner in honor of Dr. Al-Drawieesh, President of the International Islamic University in Islamabad which was also attended by Dr. Husn ul -Ameen, Executive Director of the Iqbal Institute for Research and Dialogue at the Islamic University, and Dr. Ashraf Abdel-Rafie El-Darfili, Advisor for International Cooperation at the Office of the President of the Islamic University.
President of the University expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Director of the Institute and appreciated hospitality.
