IIUI PRESIDENT PARTICIPATES IN CONFERENCE ON KASHMIR

President of the International Islamic University in Islamabad (IIUI) Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Yousif Al-Draiweesh participated in the conference titled Stability of Pakistan and Solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

The conference was attended by prominent personalities including leaders, politicians, intellectuals, and other walks of life.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh called for resolution of Kashmir dispute in the region through dialogue. He emphasized on peaceful settlement of the conflict in accordance with the relevant international resolutions.

He furthered that Kashmiri issue is one of the issues of concern to the Muslim world and all the nations must play an active role for its resolution. IIUI President also called for arranging conference, seminars and dialogues with greater frequency to create more awareness and information about the disputes and miseries being faced by Kashmiris.

He shed light on the importance of Islamic unity in the light of the Quran and Sunnah. He also discussed Saudi-Pakistani relations, history, and said bilateral ties have been getting stronger by every passing day since emergence of Pakistan.

Molana Syed Muhammad Abd-ul-Khabir Azad, Great Imam & Khateeb Badshahi Mosque was the chief guest of the conference.  Khateeb Badshahi Mosque said Kashmiris are an omen of struggle and strong believe in god. He appreciated Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for a positive role in spreading the moderation, tolerance, peaceful coexistence, renunciation of extremism. He also spoke on importance of Saudi-Pakistani relations . He said every Pakistani loves KSA as it is the land of Two Holy Mosques.
