President, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh has felicitated Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, secretary-general of the Muslim World League (MWL), being elected as president of League of Islamic Universities (LIU) at its 11th General Conference.
He received congratulations and warm wishes from prominent Islamic and political figures from throughout the Islamic world.
The conference discussed the amendment of some articles of LIU’s statutes and its working regulations, and approved the minutes of the last session held at Alexandria University last year. LIU was established in 1969 and includes the largest universities from around the world.
Dr. Al-Draiweesh wished for success and happiness of Dr Essa saying that this development will help to bring positive results. He said that his election came as a result of his distinguished services, distinguished scientific competence, , experience and reputation at the global, national and Islamic levels.
Dr. Al-Draiweesh also thanked the Saudi leadership for its trust in the Secretary-General and his election as LIU chief. The President of the University also praised the Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul-Karim Al-Issa for his wisdom, , efficiency, administrative, scientific, academic, educational, awareness, patriotism, loyalty and positive approach.
