IIUI Faculty Member Wins HEC Best Paper Award

Rector award 1Dr. Akhtar Nadhman, Faculty member at Sulaiman Bin Abdullah Aba Al-Khail-Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (SA-CIRBS) brought pride to IIUI by winning HEC best paper award.

Dr. Akhtar Nadhman, under the supervision of Rector IIUI Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai published his research article entitled “PEGylated silver doped zinc oxide nanoparticles as novel photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy against Leishmania” that focused on the treatment of Leishmaniasis using metal nanoparticles.

Dr. Nadhman, who recently joined SA-CIRBS, expressed his joy over achievement and showed his commitment to continue the quality research at SA-CIRBS. Dr. Nadhman is keen to develop his research group of interdisciplinary nature.

Dr. Imran Khan, Head SA-CIRBS appreciated the efforts of the scholar and termed it as the first step towards quality research at SA-CIRBS. He further added that SA-CIRBS has significantly changed the research environment at IIUI and such achievements at national level will certainly encourage the scientists and students at the Centre.
