The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan organized a Go-Live Ceremony to launch key IT and digital transformation initiatives under the Higher Education Development in Pakistan (HEDP) project. The ceremony was held at the Jinnah Convention Center, Islamabad, and was attended by government officials, university representatives, faculty members, students, and other stakeholders.
A delegation from the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) participated in the event, reflecting the university’s continued support for national efforts in advancing digital education. The delegation included Dr. Amna Mahmood, In-Charge Female Campus; Dr. Rukhsana Tariq, Student Advisor; Dr. Hameeda Akhtar, Deputy Student Advisor; Dr. Aaliya Shahzadi from CIRBS; and support staff. Around 300 students from the faculties of Management Sciences, Economics, and Languages also attended the event.
The Go-Live Ceremony marked a significant step towards modernizing higher education through integrated digital systems. IIUI’s participation underscored its commitment to aligning with HEC’s vision for a transparent, efficient, and future-ready academic environment.
