Dr. Ahmad Yousif Al-Draiweesh , President International Islamic University (IIU)Thursday called on Dr. Junaid Zaidi, Executive Director, Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) at his office.
During the meeting, issues pertaining to mutual cooperation in the field of education and joint steps for the sustainable socio-economic uplift of the developing countries and role of educational institutions in this regard were discussed.
Dr. Al-Draiweesh, on the occasion, hailed the role of commission for utilization of science and technology in the development process in the societies. He also briefed the commission’s ED about role of IIUI and its faculties in the innovations in the field of science and technology.
Dr. Zaidi appreciated the services of IIUI and said the mutual cooperation between the commission and the university in the field of science and technology can be helpful in bringing a well prepared human resource and improvements in this field.
