DEPARTMENT OF URDU HOLDS WORKSHOP ON MODERN RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES IN URDU 

Department of Urdu, female campus (FC) organized a two day workshop on” Modern Research Methodologies in Urdu Language and Literature ”  at Dawah center lecture hall.

The workshop was organized for the research scholars and female students where, Dr. Najeeba Arif , Chairperson, Department of Urdu, Dr. Humera Ashfaq,  Dr. Fouzia janjua, Dr. Sarah Batool amd Dr. Asma Mansoor being resource persons delivered lectures on the topic.

Addressing the workshop,

Dr. Najeeba , in her speech reminiscent to the history of the department stressed that such workshops were necessary to be held as per contemporary requirements. Dr. Fauzia Janjua, on the occasion shed light on the material gleaning and scanning, while Dr. Humera delivered her talk on National archive, libraries and oral history.

The workshop experts, resource persons discussed meanings of the texts, its compilation and stages , while issues pertaining to mistakes of spellings were also part of discussions.

The chairperson, in the concluding ceremony vowed that such activities be continued in future, earlier in the ceremony, Naeema Bibi  also apprised about the report of the three day event.

At the end, certificates were distributed among the participants of the workshop.
