A program on “Arabic Language and its modern techniques” was held here at new campus of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) which was organized by Ushaq Al Arabia Society.
Vice President AF&P Dr. Muhammad Munir was the chief guest of the program, while it was chaired by Dean Arabic Faculty, Dr. Muhammad Bashir. It was also attended by Director Saudi schools Dr. Mubarik Al anzi, Dr. Wali Khan, Sawahili, Dr. Mustafa Al-while IIUI teachers hailing from Egypt, Dr, Hassan Bandri, Dr. Muhammad Nashi, Dr. Masool Abdur Rehman, Dr. Abdul Mohsin Jumma, Dr. Abdul Hafiz and society’s officials including Mr. Usama Jamshed and Mr. Zahid Abdul Shahid , the head of the society were also present on the occasion.
The participants shed light on the topic and delivered detailed lectures on the modern techniques of Arabic language. They termed the Arabic language as immortal and discussed the services of non-Arabs who translated Quran e Majeed. Participants also discussed effects of technology such as social media on Arabic language. They also called for adopting new technologies for promotion of Arabic language such as mobile applications.
Dr. Muhammad Munir, in his speech hailed the organizers of program and stressed that experts of Arabic language be brought on such platforms in country for promotion of Arabic language. Dr. Munir said that there is a lot of space that dedicated and expert people be given a responsibility under supervision of an organization for preparation of Urdu Arabic dictionary.
Dr. Bashir shared his experiences of teaching Arabic and told about the renowned linguists. He told that Arab teachers have brought fame to IIUI and now IIUI is even having Chinese students in Arabic. He also discussed important aspects of teaching Arabic.
Later, shields were presented to the distinguished participants.
