Department of Urdu at female campus organized a teachers’ training workshop which was attended by permanent and visiting faculty members.
The workshop was addressed by Dean Faculty of Languages and Literature, Dr. Ayaz Afsar. He highlighted the importance of academic activities and methods of teaching. The Dean stressed that students be provided opportunities to learn instead of traditional lectures.
Dr. Najeeba Arif, Chairperson of the department urged that punctuality and positive attitudes were vital attributes which may impress the students to opt in their lives. She also discussed course outline and importance of scheme of studies.
Dr. Sadia Tahir discussed importance of workshop, environment of class room, methodologies of teaching. She stressed that students must be nurtured in a balance milieu where there education and training both be top priority.
