The Department of English of Faculty of Languages and literature (FLL) of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has launched its first biannual research journal, Journal of Contemporary Poetics (JCP).
The journal is aimed at publishing quality research in the fields on literature, linguistics and language as reflected in the first volume of the first issue published for June 2017.
Prof. Ayaz Afsar, chairman of the department and editor of the journal hopes that the launch of the research journal will promote the research culture in the department and will bring the department and university a good name. He said that the launch of the journal has been his earnest desire for many years. He thanked the faculty members who have worked tirelessly in bringing together the journal that include; Dr. Aroosa Kanwal, Dr. Zulfqar Hyder and Dr. Muhammad Sheeraz.
