Department of Education has been given approval by District Education Officer (Secondary), Rawalpindi to adopt Government Girls High School Khayaban-e-Sir Syed Sector 1, Rawalpindi and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Prial, Rawalpindi for the execution of its community outreach plan.
As per given details by the department, faculty members of the department have already been providing community services to primary and secondary schools in Rawalpindi/Islamabad in the form of trainings regarding pedagogical skills and research.
Moreover, the students are also engaged in community service in terms of different project based assignments and voluntary work like teaching at rural area schools, class decoration and designing low cost/no cost teaching material.
Prof. Dr. N. B. Jumani Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences has lauded the efforts of Dr. Shamsa Aziz, Chairperson Department of Education (Female Campus) and the faculty members in promoting the community service mission of the department.
