The 6th Training Workshop under Professional Development Program for University Teachers (PDPUT) on “Research Methods and Skills” designed by The Department of Education, International Islamic University Islamabad concluded here at university. The purpose behind workshop was to enhance the research competencies and skills of faculty members. The workshop covered an overview of paradigms of research followed by qualitative research design, quantitative research design, mixed method research paradigm, preparation of Research tools, selection of population and sample, appropriate techniques of data analysis, academic writing and academic supervision.

Munir Kayani, Assistant Professor, Dr. Azhar Mahmood, Assistant Professor, Dr. Shamsa Aziz, Assistant Professor, Dr. Zarina Akhtar, Assistant Professor, Dr. Rabia Ali, Assistant Professor and Dr. Zahid Iqbal, Assistant professor were the resource persons of the workshop. They highlighted main areas of research and different corners through interactive sessions with participants. In the concluding session, Dr. Jumani appreciated Dr. Samina Malik and her team for organizing the workshop and hoping that participants will utilize these skills in their profession.
