Dr. Shaheen Shahzad, Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Sciences presented a research paper in the “International Conference on Bioscience and Medical Engineering (ICBME)at Bali, Indonesia. The conference was jointly organized by the Faculty of Biosciences and Medical Engineering of the Universiti Teknologi, Malaysia, and Fakultas Tecnologi Pertanian of the University of Udayana, Bali, Indonesia. The conference provided a prodigious platform for exploring novel ideas and expedite collaborations for developing projects for the benefit the community.
The conference brought together a galaxy of scientists, engineers, academics and students from various countries including Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, Sudan, Turkey and USA to present their research and deliberate on the emerging opportunities and challenges in biosciences and medical engineering. The International forum particularly underpinned the leeway to develop a network of South East Asian nations in the research areas identified during the conference.
