DCW, IIUI: ONE WEEK COURSE FOR FEMALE FOREIGN STUDENTS CONCLUDES

A week long Islamic Training Course for female foreign which was started on 28th January, 2020 concluded on 3rd February at Dawah Centre for Women (DCW) of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). The course was attended by 32 foreign students studying at IIUI in various faculties belonging from Thailand, Indonesia, China and Afghanistan. The course was aimed at encouraging female students regarding Islamic codes of domestic life in the light of teachings of Islam.

Chief Guest of the concluding ceremony was Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, Acting President, IIUI while it was also joined by Director General Dawah Academy, Dr.Tahir Mehmood, Dr. Amina, Provost (Girls Hostels), Incharge DCW, Ms Shagufta Omer, course participants and staff members of DCW.

Addressing during concluding ceremony Dr. Aqdas Naveed said that role of women is pivotal in domestic and practical life for nations, while women have much responsibility in shaping mindset of their children with respect to true teachings of Islam in Islamic societies. Dr. Aqdas called upon the Muslim societies to provide best opportunities to women for imparting their significant role in the light of teachings of Quran and Sunnah, he also appreciated the Dawah Academies role for conducting such trainings and said that the Academy is addressing the significant topics for restructuring and strengthening the family system of Muslim societies by organizing such training courses.

Dr. Tahir Mehmood, Director General, Dawah Academy congratulated course participants upon successful completion of Islamic Training Course and emphasized foreign female students to further spread the Islamic codes of domestic and practical life in other countries too, as the role of women in character and nation building in the light of Islamic teachings is of significant importance.

Dr. Amina, Provost Girls Hostels addressing to the course participants said that young students are asset of while Ummah expects vital contribution in nation building from women when they entered in their practical life. She added that the University remains always committed to train students in the light of teachings of Islam in all manners of life and presently moral training of female is also necessary while such trainings workshops are exactly focusing on such salient features.

During week long training, course participants attended lectures from renowned scholars and remained involved in different academic and co-curricular activities. Course participants also visited different places of twin cities while, comprehensive sessions on significant topics based on Islamic teachings in Qur’an and Sunnah,  the role of women in an Islamic society, teachings of Qur’an and Islamic ideologies, Islamic practices for women in domestic and practical life, were covered during the training program. At the end course completing certificates and prizes were given by Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, Acting President IIUI to the course participants.
