DAWAH STARTS ISLAMIC ORIENTATION SESSIONS AT FAISAL MASJID

A series of Islamic orientation sessions organized by Dawah Academy of the university commenced here at Faisal Masjid which was inaugurated by Acting President International Islamic University, Islamabad ( (IIUI) Dr. Muhammad Bashir Khan.

The session series has been initiated after the special directives of the President IIUI, Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh. The ceremony was also attended by the Director General Dawah Academy , Dr. Sohail Hassan and other officials including Dr. Zia ur-Rehman, Dr. Abdul Rahman Hammad, Mr. Obaid Rahman and other IIUI officials.

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Bashir Khan spoke about the importance of seeking knowledge and maintained that the Islamic University was keen for dissemination of Islamic teachings of values in Muslim societies. He stressed upon importance of scientific and Islamic seminars and thanked IIUI President for his special interest in such constructive activities.

Dr. Sohail Hassan thanked Dr. Muhammad Bashir and other officials and students for the attendance. He apprised about the purpose of the sessions and said that it was aimed at reviving the role of the mosque in the Pakistani society. Teacher at IIUI from Al-Azhar University also joined the session.

Dr. Abdulrahman Hammad, faculty member at IIUI and head of Al-Azhar mission for the session also spoke on the occasion and thanked IIUI for initiating this program.
