EVERY INDIVIDUAL SHOULD COME FOR RESEARCH AND INNOVATION, RECTOR, IIUI
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, Caretaker Provincial Minister for Agriculture, Food and Planning & Development and IUII Alumnai called on Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) at his Office. Matters, pertaining to current situation of Agriculture sector in Pakistan and need of growth of the Agriculture sector for prompt development of the country and need for establishment of Potohar University was also discussed. Dr. Masoom appraised Minister’s vision, future plans and its achievements. During discussion Rector, IIUI introduced about the salient features of IIUI faculties. He urged that every PhD should come for innovation and he or she should act as knowledge factory. He added that IIUI is providing quality education to the youth of Muslim World integrated with Islamic teachings.
Sardar Tanveer said that IIUI is playing pivotal role in nation building and its services for dissemination of Islam’s message of peace are commendable. Matters regarding water management for agriculture were also discussed. IIUI Vice Presidents and Directors of the University were also present on the occasion. Rector, IIUI also presented University Crest to the Minster.
After meeting, Sardar Tanveer IlyasMinister and Rector, IIUI launched Moon Soon tree plantation campaign-2018 organized by Dr. Muhammad Ibrar Shanwari, Chairman, Department of Environmental Science. The drive for tree plantation will remain throughout the month from the 1st day as thousands of tree saplings would be planted in this regard. On the occasion Officials of the varsity were also present.
