Convection, the ceremony which earmarks the achievement of a milestone in the academic life of students entails a wide range of tasks carried out by different teams at multiple levels. One team, which can be considered the backbone of the convocation process and which is responsible for all the groundwork, is the Examination team.
We spoke to the examination team which was the core one amongst all teams amid preparations of the convocation. We gleaned a cream of their assignments to reflect their dedication and effort. There you go with details of their efforts.
The tasks carried out by the examination section right from the preparation of graduates’ lists to the registration process of the graduates and from preparation of gold medals and degrees to the award of gold medals and degrees, all the processes reflect the tremendous performance and achievement of the team. This large number reflects the tireless efforts of the examination section, who started the groundwork with the preparation of graduates’ lists, proceeded with the registration phase, wherein 3500 graduates were registered for the ceremony. Preparation of gold medalists’ lists, distinction holders lists to the preparation of gold medals and degrees/transcripts remark only one phase of the convocation ceremony. This team was also responsible for the distribution of invitation cards and gowns to the registered students. Preparation of proceedings of the marvelous ceremony and the very prominent procession members’ lists were also carried out by the brilliant team of examination section. On the day of main event, the same team was responsible for seating plan and sequencing of the Ph.Ds and Gold medalists, who were the main highlight of the ceremony. The team coordinated with the presenter/ host of the ceremony to ensure that all the activities of the ceremony are well-coordinated.
All these well-coordinated and well-planned tasks resulted into the mega-event of the 11th convocation, which will go down on as the remarkable achievement in the history of the university.
