Students and staff at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) marked Eid ul Azha with a spirit of unity and care, as Alkhidmat Foundation and Yardimeli Pakistan arranged Qurbani for hostel residents who could not travel home for the occasion.
On the first day of Eid, five bulls were sacrificed at the university hostels. Alkhidmat Foundation contributed three, while Yardimeli Pakistan arranged two. The initiative especially benefited boarding students from far-flung regions of Pakistan and international students, many of whom celebrated Eid away from their families.
Following the Qurbani, lunch was served for both male and female hostel residents, along with on-campus university staff. Dinner for the second day of Eid was also scheduled, supported by Alkhidmat Foundation, ensuring continued festivity on campus.
The arrangements were coordinated by Dr. Amna Mehmood, In-Charge Female Campus; Mr. Ihsan Malik, Lecturer, Department of International Relations; and Mr. Hassan Shabbir. Their collective efforts, alongside the generous contributions from the partner organizations, helped create a meaningful and inclusive celebration for the IIUI community.
University officials and students expressed gratitude to Alkhidmat Foundation and Yardimeli Pakistan for their support in making Eid special for those away from home.
