Three-Day Workshop on Stress Management and Job Satisfaction Held for IIUI Transport Staff

The Office of Professional Trainings at the Directorate of Human Resource Management & Development (HRM&D), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), organized a three-day training workshop on “Job Satisfaction and Stress Management” for drivers of the Central Transport Unit.

Aimed at supporting the mental well-being and workplace effectiveness of transport staff, the workshop was designed to be interactive and activity-based. It was facilitated by experts from the Department of Psychology, IIUI. Dr. Nazia Iqbal, Chairperson of the Department and a Fulbright Fellow, led the sessions alongside Dr. Sameena Iqbal and Dr. Amna Hassan, both experienced clinical psychologists.

The sessions included practical exercises such as breathing techniques, muscle relaxation, communication activities, stress release games, and guided meditation. Participants actively engaged in the training, shared experiences, and learned tools for managing stress and improving job satisfaction.
Director HRM&D, Mr. Ateeq ur Rehman Chughtai, appreciated the role of the drivers in university operations and emphasized HRM&D’s ongoing commitment to training initiatives for staff in BPS 1–15. He also distributed shields among the facilitators in recognition of their contributions.

The Office of Professional Trainings plans to continue such initiatives to enhance staff development and foster a positive workplace culture at IIUI.
