Hostels employees’ cricket tournament enters into final stages where teams of hostel 1 and 3 have sealed their places into final of the Inter-Hostels cricket tournament, after winning semifinal matches of the event.
The activity is part of the vision and initiatives of the IIUI President for providing healthy and quality education environment to the IIUI community. The tournament is being organized by the Office of Provost (male) and Protocol and Public Relations (P&PR).
According to details, the 1st semifinal was played between Hostel 2 & 3 that was won by team hostel 3. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irfan Khan, Dean Faculty of Basic & Applied Sciences, FBAS, IIUI was the chief guests of this match.
The 2nd Semifinal was played between Kuwait Hostels & Hostel 1 teams. The second semifinal was won by team hostel 1. In this match Brig. (Rtd.) Muhammad Saleem Khan, Security Consultant, IIUI was the chief guests.
Provost Hostels’ (Male), Dr. Muhammad Abrar Anver, thanked the university administration and organizing committee for the untiring efforts to make the event successful and termed it a healthy activity. He added that such healthy activities will continue in future. He also appreciated the efforts of Provost and Protocol Office, Officers and Staff members for making the event successful. The final match will be played between Hostel 1&3.
The Tournament includes 7 teams in which 1 team is from Kuwait hostels Faisal Masjid Campus.
